Design Process
The design team consisted of 6 people – 3 product designers and 3 graphic designers. One of the product designers was responsible for conducting discovery workshops with the client to validate ideas from a product standpoint. The other two designers translated the vision into the user interface and were also responsible for user research, designing flows and mapping. The graphic designers helped create templates. The design team remained in consistent contact with the engineering team, between the design handoff, at every checkpoint to ensure that the design will be coded in a pixel perfect manner.
Since the product was new, the likes of which were not to be found in the existing market, user research was conducted to find out if there was a substantial demand for such a product to begin with. Furthermore, market analysis was conducted to find out what existing platforms were being used to solve the issues of the target users, and to probe into the tools that the target users were currently comfortable using. Discovery workshops were conducted with the client to finalize what goes in the MVP, iterate on the layouts and ideate on how to make the product more intuitive.
